Jake and Katie embody a heartfelt pursuit of God's will, dedicated to seeing lives transformed as people are equipped to Live Like Jesus. Their vision extends beyond mere belief to action, as they actively engage in global missions to demonstrate God's love and power to people from all walks of life. Rooted in a deep love for scripture, a profound experience of God's transformative touch and a commitment to hosting His presence, they have witnessed miracles and empowered others through the gifts of the Spirit. Their passion for presence-driven worship and their unwavering dedication to loving others reflect their desire to see the Church embody the very heart of Jesus. With a rich history of ministry and a family united in faith, Jake, Katie, and their children Aliyah, Sophia, Asher, and Oliver eagerly anticipate seeing God's kingdom manifest in their community of Columbus, just as it is in Heaven.
How It Started
Jake and Katie's journey to planting Heart City Church has been nothing short of a divine calling. Their dream, nurtured since childhood, found its perfect timing in 2020 when they sensed God's unmistakable leading. With a fervent desire to foster a community centered on Jesus and to align themselves with His work on Earth, Jake, Katie, and their four children obediently answered the call to be planted in Columbus.
Heart City Church officially launched its in-person services in January 2021, and since then, the hand of the Lord has been undeniably evident. Lives are being transformed as individuals encounter Jesus, experience healing, and forge deeper connections within the community.
Guided by Psalm 127:1, the foundation of Heart City Church is firmly rooted in the understanding that without God's orchestration, all human efforts are in vain. Their mission isn't merely to construct something impressive, but to co-labor with God in building what He Himself is constructing.

Where we are headed...
We carry a strong conviction that we are not just building for right now, but we are also building for generations that we will never see. We are digging a well of hope that future generations will get to drink from.
We can't do that alone. To get there we need each other, we need the body of Christ, we need you. Everyone has been given gifts and talents that serve those around them. We are excited to create a place where people can bring those gifts and talents to life as we build teams, ministries and resources that will bless our city and future generations.
